• DJ's that take their business seriously will have insurance and a registered business name. Request a copy of that documentation.
• Chat about your event and make sure that your DJ is on the exact same page as you as to how they are going to run your occasion.
• When having a once in a lifetime occasion like a wedding, Sweet 16, or Mitzvah make sure they are extremely comfortable running your occasion. Ask them to give some examples of how they might manage parts of the event, which means you are comfortable with their strategy.
• Ask how they're going to make the occasion fun for your guests. Do you like their ideas?
• Make certain they are using clean radio edits, you probably do not want profanity in front of your visitors!
• Ask for references and verify them! Ask how they will be handled and how many music request will probably be required?
• Always negotiate a written agreement that discusses all worries with regard to all parties!
